Four-Column Crane and Weld Curtain for a Welding Station

Crane Installed in One Day.

Welding station · Four-column free-standing Gorbel crane · Two 500 lb bridges · Tool balancers · Singer Safety weld curtain

Setting Up a Weld Cell?

Industrial workspace with blue and yellow overhead rails, blue partition curtains, and labeled quality control area.

What We Installed

  • A four-column free-standing Gorbel crane with two 500 lb bridges. The bridges carry tool balancers, which hold the welding tools so operators are not supporting their weight.
  • A Singer Safety weld curtain around the entire crane structure, protecting the area from sparks and blocking harmful light

How the Project Came Together

From Challenge to Solution

See how each project came together, from the initial need and installation process to the finished result.

The Problem

A custom welding station needed a way to support welding tools ergonomically and protect workers from sparks and welding light.

How It Went In

We installed a four-column free-standing Gorbel crane with two 500 lb bridges built to support tool balancers, then added a custom Singer Safety weld curtain around the whole structure. The quote and drawings each took a day, the crane shipped in 10 days and went in in one, and the curtain shipped in 10 days and was installed over two.

The Result

Operators work with the welding tools carried on balancers, inside a station surrounded by the weld curtain.
