About Us
Georgia is home. Power and Motion was founded in Acworth in 1991, on I-75 north of Atlanta, so most metro sites are inside an hour and a same-week site visit is normal. Savannah, Augusta, Macon and Columbus are a planned trip, with the same crews and the same project manager. Every Georgia project on our projects page was built by our own installers.

How Georgia treats modular buildings. Georgia's Industrialized Buildings Program, run by the Department of Community Affairs, has covered business and commercial buildings since 1982. A factory-built building approved under the program carries a DCA insignia and is deemed to meet local construction codes. Local governments still control zoning, the foundation, the site work and the utility connections. The program applies to closed construction: buildings that can't be inspected on site without taking them apart.
What that means for an in-plant office or cleanroom. Panelized offices and cleanrooms assembled inside your building can be inspected as they go up, so they're permitted by your city or county like other interior work. Electrical, HVAC and sprinkler tie-ins are what the reviewer looks at. We tell you which path applies at your address in the proposal.
Where the work is. Distribution and logistics along I-75, I-85 and I-20 around Atlanta, port-related warehousing in Savannah, food processing in North Georgia, and manufacturing from Dalton to Columbus.

How quickly can you get to my site in metro Atlanta?
Usually the same week. We're based in Acworth, and most metro sites are inside an hour.
Does a modular office in Georgia need a DCA insignia?
A standalone factory-built building does. An in-plant panel office assembled inside your existing building is usually permitted locally instead. We confirm which applies before we quote.
Do you work outside metro Atlanta?
Can you build a cleanroom in a leased building?
Yes. Modular cleanroom panels are demountable, so the room can move with you when the lease ends.
